Far better weather conditions than we've experienced for a number of years. Just one light shower on Sunday morning plus those massive crowds who could only be impressed by the flying displays. A job very well done and top marks to the organisors. Those unsung hero's of whom give up so much of their time and deal with all the stress. From a pilots point of view, I thought that the free meal vouchers and the free LMA Clock was a great gesture.

Well done to all concerned and thanks for a great weekend.

it was a great Cosford, but going to the full size, the fireworks Fox glider was simply supreme, bcak to the models, lightening was great, i felt for the corsair drivers, i hope the one that went down far side of the drome was ok, MUST be bumper crowds this time, we where parking the vans on the campsite, along with others, and it was getting pretty crowded on there!!

campsite highlite for me was, the young family, mum, dad, 4 little kids, who had caught the train up from somewhere, they appeared, towing a BIG pink case, big tent slung over the shoulder, kids with their toys, they put thereselves out to get there, obvioulsy not well off, but they had a great time, then packed up, and went back the way they had come, GREAT spirit!!!

After being on the organising side of shows for many years I am just getting used to being on the other side with the rest of you. The number of spectators this year looked phenominal, I thought they would all be glued to the Olympics coverage on TV but there is the proof, regardless of media hype, a lot of people would rather watch other activities. Flying was superb as usual by the 'show circuit pilots' and superb models. I hate to criticise but one thing that grated on my ears was the quality of sound from the PA system. The commentators were doing a superb job but that is no use if the sound is distorted. Our organisation is at the forefront of modelling and there is no reason why the sound system should be second rate. I know I may be being a bit touchy about this but my professional business was audio and sound systems and I know it can be better. Anyway congratulations to all involved, I was one of the organisers of the very first Cosford and we were worried whether or not that would be successful.....20 years on....WOW!!!!!

Hi Dave we are always open to advice and help, so maybe you could take a look next time you are at a show and sort the problem out for us, we only want the best the same as you.

We did a stint on the gate from the museum on Sunday afternoon, checking tickets and/or stamping hands. Could I suggest the LMA invest in a few yellow tabards with the LMA logo on them, so that people know they are being stopped on behalf of the organisers. Just a small point I know, but it would be the icing on the cake to give the event that "professional" finish. That aside, I would like to congratulate all involved, a brilliant weekend. Dave Jones.
