As the title says, So what have you been flying this weekend, post your pictures or just simply tell us all what has been your chose of plane to fly this weekend, first us is.

Huston we have a problem, KLM having a full check over before her shake down flight after a two year rest at Woodford yesterday. More pictures to come later.

What a lovely weekend---considering we are nearly in November ,we seem to have had better weather in the last Month up here than we have had all Summer----i decided to make the most of the sunshine on Saturday,and took the Vulcan out for its last planned flights of the season---next outing is Barkston at Xmas----Tony,please note the new black nose and tail---especially done for you

This shot looks like the Airbus is flying over the Vulcan, a near and far shot just right in the camera frame, ‘magic’.

This weekend saw Dr Redshaw test fly my new P51D (ex Charlie Cox) with me "buddied" up as I've never flown such a large model. 3 flights carried out with me "solo" (even though Ian was holding the buddy transfer switch just in case) on the 3rd flight! Wow am I excited at the start of my quest!

What can I say Dave, I'm so impressed. Thanks. I'm not too good at the moment but I'll get to get to Gaydon if it kills me.

I didn't fly last weekend as I'm on the road on a seven day trip (3500miles) to fly my 40% Waco/moki 400 at Monster planes in Lakeland. I take my van and tow my caravan and camp along the way...7000mile round trip @ 10mpg with a Ford van with 6.8l V10!
The planes aren't as big as a lot of yours, as the U.S. has a 125lb.limit and we in Canada have a 77 lb.(35k) limit.
This will be year # 5 for me, and each year I have a nice chat with ex pat and LMA member Steve Thomas, (Bob's Hobby Center in Orlando)...super nice fellow.

Everbody thinks I'm nuts, driving for 7 days, spend 4 days in Florida, then 7 days home again...but being retired, I've learned to do things while you can, you never know what tomorrow brings.

We keep hoping to see some of you and your planes over here, but the shipping costs must be astronomical!

Dave WoW! What a journey, dedication to the hobby at its best. Have you ever thought of doing a road trip diary of the whole event? It would make a great article for the LMA Journal. It would also be nice to see what members are doing in other countries.

7,000 miles to go flying for 4 days. I though I was a bit mad driving 2,200 miles to Spain for a bit of flying but 2,200 miles at 27mpg in my motorhome is nothing compared to your trip.. even accounting for the difference between US and UK gallons.

Same applies John, again another road trip journey worthy of an article for the Journal, maybe you would conceder it after your latest contribution has been published.

I had a aerobatic interlude last weekend. Flew my 42% Extra 300 and Seb Art Sukhoi. Good day all round

7000 miles reminds me of the road trip Phil Clark, me and the wife made to Trondheim in 2010. Great fun, something different if you havent tried it before. Met up with the rest of the Fighter Aces and had a great 4 days of flying 4 days and two ferry crossings there and same back but well worth it. Would love to do it again one day.

Re the Cessna,thanks Dave P,mine is an old ,just like me, Cessna.It will be at Gaydon.Too foggy to fly much last weekend,spent all day trying to get my 3W to run.
