Could anyone please help me :

I would like to buy a smoke system for a 50cc
Petrol engine ,

Is there a leader on the Market.

Also I have read the heat is the most important
Factor / is a mild steel - Ali - or stainless steel
Muffler the better combination

I've tried most and the most consistent performer and ease of set up is the Powerbox systems unit, small, light and runs off receiver battery so no need for extra batteries (like some) or an additional switch. It costs about £140 from Als Hobbies, Motors and Rotors etc. You wont be disappoined.

Or you can do it how I do it, If you have seen my pits you will know that the smoke system is really good. so you buy a new 12 volt windscreen washer motor from a auto accessory shop for about £8, do not use a worn out one from a scrap yard. Mount this in the cowl area with a silicone pipe leading to a copper pipe coiled around the exhaust pipe as it leaves the cylinder, this is to pre heat the smoke fluid or diesel , put a one way valve exhaust side of the pump then a solid alli slug drilled with a .5mm hole, this will regulate the flow. The copper pipe or brass pipe enters the exhaust pipe as it goes into the silencer, not too near the cylinder as the back pressure may be too high. To switch the pump on or off keep it simple, Mount a servo alongside a switch which has a pin cyno,ed in vertically. The servo arm has a loose slot over the pin and you set the servo travel to turn on and of. OK so far as I will be asking questions later. You use a 7.2 volt battery as this runs the pump about right. Really simple and easy to sort if need be. Ah' don't forget to wire all pipes pressure side. Connect to tank and clunk in normal way. easy peasey.
