After waiting nearly four months since completing the rebuild of my Tempest 11,I finally got to fly it yesterday at Dishforth airfield. Firstly,it was a wonderful day 19c, 5mph wind, and the Tempest flew [ fantabulous].
I can now say that I have flown a radial powered HOT-SHOT warbird in my 81st year.Beat that Ozy.
ps. see you all at Longhorsley on Friday.

Bloody well done Brian. What a massive hit for us oldies. The younger members will only be able to appreciate in full what an achievement that is when they get there.

In answer to your question " what did you fly this weekend " I had a weekend in Anglesey and i spent part of the weekend flying a gennaker. Not quite what you ment i'm sure, but it did make me feel about 80.
