Hi all, this is a request from your Journal Editor. I am looking to include in future issues a series of articles on building techniques’ i.e. how to cover planes using glass cloth what techniques you use to apply rivets and how it is done etc… this would have to be stage by stage articles which could run over several issues.
So what has prompt me to ask for these articles, well it seems like we have a new generation of members in the LMA who have never build anything other than what comes out of a box already done. Don’t get me wrong the traditional builds are still going strong but as I read our RC magazines, it is all ARTF’s and Forumie Electric full scale working models.
I for one wouldn’t have a clue how to do any of these techniques, yes, I see the build threads with pictures but that is of the build not how each job has been done in detail. So I hope you can help and bring your skills and experience to others. Please let me know if you would like to contribute I would love to hear from you.
