discount the music, and bagpipes, surely a historic series of aircraft fly byes, and yes, this is 2013, turn the volume up, listen to those merlins sing, and one griffon??????

I would give my right arm to have been there to see that, think the choice of 'amazing grace' on the bagpipes was very appropriate as the sight and sound was truly amazing and what cuold be more gracfull than these aircraft.
Well worth looking at .

WELL, i prefer the music of merlins, but having played it through again, i must agree, very fitting, like the 633 squadron as well,

Have to agree with you Alan, the sound of a merlin can only be beaten by a group of them.

I was there - now where's that smug face smiley icon? There are pictures on my web site. I'm still doing pictures from the show - I took so many! The only gripe I have of the whole time there - those bloody yellow buses in the background!Whoever left 'em there wants shooting!!! Fantastic weekend all the same - great place and great people :D I would highly recommend going.

Cheers,
Neil

Allan. This post brings back many happy memories for me,because in the mid 1980's i worked at Slater Steels in Hamilton, and one of the electrical maintenance staff was a part time restorer at the museum. He invited me to visit the workshops which i did 4 or five times, so i have seen those warbirds etc.being renovated, and some flying.Wonderful experience and for free.
ps.Pleased you enjoyed your visit Neil.
