Quick introduction

Postby James Stewart » September 27th, 2013, 1:38 pm

Afternoon all,
Thought I should introduce myself to the forums. Been a member of the SAA for around 8 years and a member of the LMA for about 4 years (I think  ). I tried to look up my old issues of the Journal to get an idea of a date. I thought it was about time to jump into the fourms here and soak up some experience from other flyers and enjoy the stories and pictures of your models aswell. I have flown at a few airshows with cadets and enjoyed the latest Strathaven Airshow where I flew my own Pilatus PC-9. Due to work though I have missed out on great oppurtunities to fly further down south as last years Elvington Airshow was the highlight of my flying year :) . Feel free to ask questions and apologies in advance as I do know some of you from shows and other gatherings (Elvington, Teesside, Strathaven, Cosford, Long Horsley and the rather wet old Stranraer shows  ) but my brain cannot match names to faces in some cases. I currently am a Civilian Instructor at 1333 Grangemouth The Spitfire Squadron helping them with RC aircraft projects and training the Air cadets to fly at my local Glenrothes flying field. Current projects are building another Pilaus PC-9 since the last crashed at the Balbeadie Warbird weekend, an 80" JU-87. I also fly a small Pilatus PC-7 which is my workhorse, a rather old Mascot trainer for cadet training and an electric B-25 Mitchell for those really calm days. Happy flying guys,

James
