Tiger Moth Wanted

Postby Rob Buckley » October 5th, 2013, 2:34 pm

This is posted on behalf of John Ford - If anybody can help, please contact me & I'll pass John's details on. Rob

My name is John Ford, I am chairman of the Morris Register. This year is the centenary of Morris (March 29th). We have had many centenary events so far throughout the year, our last one is at the NEC Birmingham Classic car show in November 15-17th. All Morris clubs are taking part and we have a whole hall to ourselves Hall 17. Our centenary stand will have a timeline of vehicles starting with a 1913 Bull Nose Morris and ending with a 1976 Morris Ital.

Morris made over 2700 Tiger moths for the RAC during world war 2 at their plant at Cowley and, it would be nice if this was represented on our stand in the shape of a ¼ size model or similar. This could be mounted on a stand or Hung from the roof, we would pay the costs. Can you help or make a suggestion as to where we could borrow such a model? Kind regards John Ford
LMA Secretary - I've got a reasonable idea where you live!
