Big model wheels

Postby Alasdair Sutherland » August 5th, 2014, 12:18 pm

Anyone know of a good source of spoked wheels (preferably with narrow inflatable tyres) about 9" or 10 inches in diameter??

Or, better still, is there a supplier who could make for me a steel tube axle (4 ft long) complete with a pair of such wheels?

Yes James,
They are very expensive in the UK, £92 each from Amazon uk, much dearer than the US ($14.25 each)

However Mick Reeves sells wheels that would do (1/3 Camel wheels look about right).

The next problem is an axle. I am thinking 1/2" or 3/4" steel tube with a solid 3/8" steel axle at the end.
Where would I get a suitable axle?
