Compression springs

Does anyone know where I can get two compression springs from? Need to be able to slide over 3mm threaded rod (3.5mm) and about 20mm long. Need to be quite strong as they are going to be on the nimrods nose leg servo saver.

I've got a box of assorted springs from Halfords ( code HBB134) there's a couple that might be suitable just depends if they will be stiff enough
edit: To compress them by 50% takes 280 ~ 350 grams
