WW1 Models at Cosford

I've been requested to attempt to organise another massive WW1 model slot for the 2015 LMA Cosford Show but I thought I should test the water first to see if how many of you guys are up for it once again.

Against all the odds, we joined forces with our selection of 1/5 , 1/4 and 1/3 scale models and pulled it off quite safely and very successfully last year and as far as I'm aware we set the record for the most large model aircraft in the sky at once (23) with most making a reasonably safe return to home.

If enough of you guys are up for it then it will be the same as last year and will again be supported by low explosive type pyrotechnics ( we figure you will all have enough on your plate without having to contend with the distraction of sonic booms, plumes of black smoke and flack)

The pyrotechnics will be fired remotely and from the flight line so that neither yourselves, your models or the pyro guys will be put at any risk and you will have a large open "safe " zone in front of you should you need to land your models in a hurry.

If you feel you are up for it again this year then can we start a list of willing participants on this thread in the first instance and if it looks like a go then I'll follow up with future updates.

So, over to you guys then.....

People for some reason do not respond to emails. I'll bet there are loads of WW1 models booked in...

If any of you still want to book in to a show, the old booking form has gone from the ‘Resources’ menu above, and been replaced by the new, shiny, fresh-smelling member’s area. None of the shows are full, and bookings have not been closed, so please contact me and I’ll tell you what to do.

Thanks

Rob
