A sad passing

I have to report the sad passing of Mike Weaver from Cornwall.
Mike was a regular attendee at the Bellevue flyins in North Devon and the shows at Cosford and Much Marcle.
He was more a builder than flyer, and delighted in the more obscure aircraft from the between wars period. His later creations being a B.A.M. Swallow, 1/3 rd scale Comper Swift, Westland
Widgeon, Italian Sparveiro triple engined bomber and a Tandem Falke motor glider.
He will be sadly missed by all in the South West.

Thanks for the call yesterday to pass on the sad news about Mike.
He was a real honest man with a style all his own. I was fortunate enough to get to fly many of his creations over the years and even own one of his models.
His poor health over the past couple of years did severely restrict his activities but now he rests in peace.
He will be missed.

John

Thanks Dave,
R.I.P Mike . Every time I look at my Savoia Marchetti 79 I shall think of you.

Happy landings
