LMA AGM 2016

Just got back from the 2016 AGM and what a good day it turned out to be. The best attendance I have seen at the AGM for years, the meeting conducted in a friendly manner, a talk from Martin Withers about his Vulcan experiences and a buffet laid on to finish.
Link all that with a look round the museum and no traffic problems getting to and from the meeting and I call that a good day out.
Thanks to all who arranged it.
John

Totally agree John, others should look on the associations agm as the way an agm should be conducted,
Many thanks to our commitee for providing for us, very very much apreciated, And many thanks for the back stage pass, a look into the museums work was superb, cracking day, worth the LMA subs, all on its own

If you dont have it already, Vulcan 607 by Rowland White is a fascinating read about the Black Buck missions. On Amazon for e reader and paperback.

There are two editions of Vulcan 607, the old one with the dark cover and the new one with the orange cover. To quote Martin Withers, the new one has a different ending :) (extra chapters added).

As we all enjoyed our President, Martin Withers, talking about the Vulcan at the AGM, then I'll be watching Channel 4 at 7.30pm Sunday. Guy Martin is doing a 90 minute programme around the last flights plus all the history.

No doubt our president will feature somewhere. I'll be watching.

Enjoyed the Vulcan programme but isn't it frustrating when they have a 'celebrity', who is nothing to do with aircraft (he rides mototorbikes), involved in a situation which would be better suited to someone who knows something about the subject??????

Couldn't agree more Dave. That privilege should have gone to some one much more connected
and deserving. He should not have been let any where near the controls of such a valuable
and treasured aircraft.

Tony.

Guy Martin is just a normal bloke forging a career as a tv presenter.
Anyway, How come you Gents have been privileged to attend the AGM 12 months early. I'm still looking forward to Christmas 2015.
