Re: Very Sad News

Postby Mike Ellis » December 22nd, 2016, 7:46 pm

I am very upset and shocked about Harry's passing. I have known him for about many years and he has always helped me in everyway he could, in anything I asked.
I spoke to him only very recently and I was surprised at how ill he was, and true to Harry, he was cheerful and positive as always.
Rest in peace my good friend, the LMA and all its members have lost a warm and wonderful person.

harry always had a good word for me, always welcome and had time to chat,

i remember harry at east kirkby the old stalwart sliced his fingers on a glider prop, but he was determined to fly the glider, no chance of missing his slot, he ended up in A&E, after the flight bleeding everywhere, turned up next day fingers stitched and bandaged, cracking jokes, fond memories

So sorry to hear of this very sad news.
I always enjoyed having a chat with Harry and acted as his helper on many occasions.
The flight line won't be the same without him.
A true gentle man.

I have only just seen this very sad thread, as all have said, Harry was a wonderful guy, the most happy-go-lucky person you could ever wish to meet, many great evenings spent at shows with Harry playing his harmonica, halcyon days, great memories, rest in peace old friend.
