Tony Nijhuis Slec lancaster.

Postby Robert_Greenwood » February 12th, 2017, 9:18 am

Morning all,

Yes lancaster Mk2 is on the bench! Will do a build log once I get a moment :-).

I have a question for anyone else who has built one...

On the plan it shows F5 and F6 as being the same. But as you can see from the photo there are different in that one has the cut out for the plywood and the others doesn't.

I remember from Mk1 that I did it slightly wrong and it took me ages to fix. So before I start this one I thought I would seek some advice :-)

So, shall I cut them to look the same so I can mount my plywood?

I can't see why they are different unless I'm missing the point completely!

Thanks in advance everyone!

Rob

Rob,
I've not seen a Mk2 modelled before, so looking forward to this. I wonder how many times you will hear "Thats not right, it's got round cowls"!

I have done a bit of research on the Mk2 that my uncle flew his last mission in, but the document is too large to post as an attachement. If you like I can e-mail it to you.

Cheers
Steve
