LMA Magazine

Postby Charles Morgan » February 2nd, 2018, 3:02 pm

Has anyone got the LMA magazine showing A Sopwith Pup on the front cover
the date would be around November 2006. I think I lent mine to someone (not LMA person) and did not get it back.
The Sopwith Pup was made and owned by me. It would be great to have a copy again.
Thanks Charles Morgan

You want Issue 113. You can download it from the member's area of the website, under membership top right & community documents.
LMA Secretary - I've got a reasonable idea where you live!

Thank you I will have a look.
I would very much like a hard copy, if anyone has one they would part with.
I would of course pay postage etc.

Thanks Rob That is the one.
Your help will also help me to find a hard copy as I now know the issue number.
Let's hope that someone has issue 113 they will part with!

An interesting comment about ADS-B from Rob in the magazine.
If clubs will eventually be required to have a transponder at the field, how will they be powered, as many clubs don't have power and a leisure battery will soon go flat.
As for switching on and off when models are being flown, we struggle to get our members to remember to close the gate, let alone switch a transponder on and off.

Will all light aircraft be required to have ADSB recievers?

Will it be applicable to all model sites or only sites where over 7.5kg operate? Will it be voluntary or mandatory?

Interesting times ahead!
