Difficult to appreciate that it's now 10 years since our late and much-loved President passed away...

Awsome guy, who knew how to give a talk! I still smile now with his Vulcan tales, sadly missed

My word, yes ten years ago, a very sad day, I remember writing up his obituary in the journal when I was the Editor, which I still have today. John was a lovely man, his father Fred, was a good friend of my family, and like an uncle to me, got me my first car when I was seventeen, a 1947 Hillman Minx, same as the ones used in the RAF in the 1940's, (wish I had it now, sigh,)

Funny thing, I was watching the program on BBC1 last night about the RAF 100 with the McGregor brothers, and when they were covering the cold war with the Vulcan, I was thinking, "What a shame John wasn't around when they filmed that" would have been interesting!
