Autumn Journal

Postby Jack Kennedy » October 19th, 2018, 11:38 am

Recieved Journal yesterday Dave, had a quick flick through it, as usual top drawer from Diggers.
Will wait till all the jobs for her indoors are done,  then I'll sit down and have a good read.
Nice one Dave.

Jack

I am hugely impressed at the mega jets featured. Now the ultimate has been achieved, where do we go from here?

Ok if you want to discuss something
Dave says he is going to do a new logo as nobody is interested in submitting a new one
What is wrong with the old one ?

John
I would say, that horse has been flogged to death, being a lowly member like youself, you could discuss this till your blue in the face and it would'nt make an ounce of difference, the impression I'm getting is, the deals been done by the powers that be, so why not just go with the flow, as long as there are shows for you to go to and you can still enjoy your flying, who gives a toss
I would agree with you, there's nothing wrong with the one the LMA has, ( my opinion ) but who I'm I, just a lowly Scottish LMA member.

There's nothing wrong with the current LMA logo, but one of the issues we have is that we don't actually have a 'definitive' LMA logo. The original will have been hand drawn with a quill back in the mid Cambrian period, so no master high resolution digital version exists.

Every time we need a logo on something, we have to draw it again and spend time faffing that would be far better spent on something else.

So, this, together with the changes that are proposed for the AGM mean that we might as well put a bit of effort into making a refreshed logo. Not necessarily a completely new logo, an evolution our our existing identity.
LMA Secretary - I've got a reasonable idea where you live!

As a fully qualified graphic designer I can help with a logo, either redrawing your existing one to a high standard electronically, or by creating options for a new one if you like.
