Advice - 1/4 scale cjhipmunk

i have a 1/4 scale chippie with no flaps built into the wing (Came that way)

does this size of airframe need flap or should i just leave this alone?

Richard. What power set up? Its a slippery airframe with big efficient wings, I would say Flaps are needed. There is a test flight video of Pete Aston's example with an OS 40GF and although the tick over was not that slow for the test flight, even with some flap it took time to slow down. We changed the flap geometry and got just another 10mm of flap and the difference to drag is marked.

z45cc being install replacing a q42

if that is the cas of adding flaps i need help doing them

Richard,
I fly my 1/4 scale chipmunk mike smart plan with and without flaps she comes in very nice I chose what I will do on the conditions but most times she does not need them but tbh it’s a personal preference, she does slow up nice without them.
