Hello All

In summer I’m taking a driving holiday that will take me from New York down to Washington DC via Philadelphia, looking for your advice on any decent Aviation Museums or Model Shops that you could recommend?

Much Appreciated

Mike

I don’t know any model shops but the Udvar-Hazy Centre at Washington Dulles is an absolute must.

You might find that some of the more ‘local’ airfields on your route could have branches of the Confederate Airforce. They tend to be smaller but always worth a look.

By USA standards that's a rather short road trip :P
Well worth watching is the film https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1153075/
Where Dave goes coast to coast avoiding big corporations in favor of Mom and Pop establishments :)

Hello Mike Rhinebeck museum in N.York state is well worth a visit ,particularly if you catch the WW1 display, plenty of info on YouTube.

I was there after the flying season many years ago ,plenty to see though ,stayed at the Beekman Arms in Rhinebeck.

Visited Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington way back in the '90s, thoroughly enjoyed it - if I remember correctly there were also some models in the collection.
