Sad News

It is with great sadness that I have to announce Gordon Whitehead passed away peacefully in the early hours of today.
Many will remember Gordon for his many years of dedication and enthusiasm to DDMFC, BMFA, and the LMA.

Sad news indeed, Neil. Gordon was a really smashing person, very able scratch builder and always very approachable if you needed help. For his very significant contribution to the LMA - maintained well into his 80's - he was conferred honorary membership, his enthusiastic participation only being curtailed in recent times due to failing health.
Our sincere condolences to Morag and the family.

Yet again, more sad news, I met Gordon a few time before he stop coming to LMA events, lovely man, also his wife did a great article in the LMA Journal some years ago.

Gordons funeral will take place on the 20th March 2019 at 1.45pm.
It will be held at the Darlington Crematorium – Address Carmel Road North, Darlington DL3 8RY.
Afterwards at The Moden, Staindrop Road, Darlington DL3 9BE.
Family flowers only and donations to the Great Northern Air Ambulance.
