Just heard that long time LMA and Board of Gaurdian member Peter Mc Kenna has passed away this morning after a long illness-----he will be best remembered for his love of B17 s and his support for the LMA and SAA

Devastating news, a great friend and mentor he was always willing to pass on his knowledge and wisdom to others. He will be missed by all who knew him.

So sorry to hear this news. Peter was a good friend, great modeller and a nicer chap you could not wish to meet. He was largely responsible for forging the links between the LMA and the SAA, a task he addressed with great enthusiasm and not a little humility.

In the last few years, despite the ravages of ill-health he continued to participate as much as he was humanly able and did so cheerfully and with a generosity of spirit, which was his trademark.

The modelling world is the lesser for his passing.
