I gather that from 1st January YouTube is changing some of its rules as a result of the recent very expensive court case.
My understanding is that every video has to be categorised regarding its suitability for children ( hence COPPA, their child protection legislation).
If a child views a video that is adult only the poster is liable for a fine of up to$47000 per video, and that applies in the UK, even though it is an American law!
Videos of model aircraft, model railways, boats etc may be aimed at adults but will quite likely attract viewers of 13 and under.
Our club has various YouTube items,as do individual members.
If videos are all posted as child friendly I understand no comments, notifications etc will accompany it and it will become virtually impossible to find!
What are other members doing as this rumbles down the tracks, we have a club meeting tomorrow when this is being discussed?
