update

cowl arrived today, £80 purchase, lucky i got it in the uk

it s a close fit but not quite close enough, little to small for the nose, i took a risk and did not pay off, all a learning curve for me

cowl being return,

took al the lead out today cowl started to fall to bits, weigh it, 1.24kg in the nose, hopefully a replacement motor will weigh approx 3kg, looks like i going to have to make a mould from the old one,

found a crack in the fuz today, right on the under-cart area, brushed on pva to stabilize, wonder if i should do what Alf did, put a sheet of news paper on to add a little strength?

at some point this must have had a heavy landing???

one of the primary wing bearers is loose, so it is epoxy time,

new tank arrived, that's a job for the weekend, servos not arrived, bummer,

first thing i need to is find my 3mm tap and dye set, have to fix the wot 4xl wing, for rougham, so burther is being shelved for a week or 2

and a chance to build the bank balance back up

need to build a new work bench to cope this the size of fuz and wings, torsion box i think
one job i must to do

If you've got a quarter of a grand ready to go, hang fire for a week or three and a Z62 in your price range will appear soon enough.

As you know from the Wot 4, you'll spend from now until the second coming messing about with the Christmas cracker ignition unit that the cheap Chinese engines come with.

Get a magneto Zenoah & it'll just work.

true rob but i f-ed around for a while so i could not get the position of the throttle servo right, to shut the throttle of completely, and it was my first time with that size petrol engine, now all running sweet as a nut, now i have a spare carb, as the spring broke on the original, want to make sure, that the carb would shut off properly before, i let it loose hence a lot of hesitation and this being my first petrol engine plane, now i have a new engine on the way for the monocoope

rotomax 25cc , use the same prop size as the wot4m but i might up it to 18x8 to knock the rpm down a bit

by the way i am bringing to cosford, the wot 4 and hopefully the coope for flight testing

you should be able to at least edit your post, and Joshua, some blooming mate, i would be kicking his door in, the ignition unit can be replaced with a recell unit from just engines, good units

if possible after hrs bob

for the coope to be ground tested and run up throttle to set etc, and then if rules allow for ic after 5pm then up up & away, but when i am 99% sure of my set up, but that all depends on what the rules will be for this show, and hopefully if there is a slot available for the wot4 to but put up by an experienced pilot, again that depends on if everyone turns up for there flight, but like say, ONLY if, and allowed! and within certain weather conditions

they only way i am going to get better at flying is just to get on with it!

i am also bring my baby coope as well for after hrs fun, also my new t28, but not sure if there is after hrs flying this year, at last note i heard that this was under discussion, but i might be wrong!

flyin's i do attend when i can afford to !

local field, is a no go as Newark club is indoor only with access to a runway, langar is the next closest club, but that's a no go for me, along with Grantham is next but, still waiting outcome of barkston site, if that gets sorted then we will see!
