I am currently working on a Grumman Albatross following the acquisition of some parts of the model from the late Dave Nieman's estate. These parts included a set of main undercarriage legs but unfortunately they do not work as originally made as the geometry is wrong.
To rectify the problem I am now searching for some drawings or pictures of the main undercarriage locking mechanism that works on the joint in the vertical leg. The internet is full of pictures of the leg locked in the extended position but I am struggling to find anything showing how the locking piston catches the lower leg as the undercarriage extends and pulls it over centre. Also how it unlocks itself so the leg can fold.
