Hi Guys

The B-50 had its maiden flight today at the Hastings MFC field and few an absolute dream. :D ....Conditions were not ideal with a 20 knott wind across the strip. The idea was to do some ground tests and taxing trials but too much speed on a fast taxi and she became airbone.....so full power (some 6kW) was applied and she shot skywards...Very little trim change was needed and wind conditions hardly effect the model....a real joy to fly. Landing was a little tricky in the cross wind and she damaged an U/C rolling into rough grass.....Only a 4min flight but hey it proved she flys......I think she currently the heaviest electric model flying in the world but not for long...the B36 of Colin Straus which is nearing completion is bigger and heavier....mind you he will need a protable elctric Sub Station linked to the National Grid to charge his batteries :D

Next flight should be at the weekend so hope to post some video ot then.....

Happy Days

Beautiful model I look forward to a closer look at next years shows. The bushes to the left of you van is about the diameter of my Chance-Vought V.173 Pancake.(electric of course)
