Hi guys over the past 5 years and in betwen many other models my 40% motorglider has finaly taken to the air. the first flight was interesting to say the least with a tailheavy model but subsequent flights have shown the model to be a real sweatheart. Construction is of balsa ply fuse with foam core wing and tail. The wing just like the original used 1-26 wing and tail with the cowl from a cub, and undercariage from a cessna 170. My model comes in at the hefalump rating of 32kg but gives a loading of 37oz per sqrft. Basic specs are 4.88 meters span, 2.6 meters long with a DL 222cc motor for the urge.
Although there is still some detailing to be done and an alloy uc change of material (5000 series to 6082) the model is basically finished.
