Hello Steve

Congratulations for the ressurection and the successful "re-Maiden" of the Wellington. It is always great to see when such perseverance gets rewarded. Looking forward for some pics when you have finished with the details.

Best regards

Robin

Thanks Robin. Other projects aside it's taken a long time.
More progress today.

Hello Steve

Looking at the pictures I assume that the re-maiden was done without the cowls? If yes, did you notice a difference regarding air resistsance?

Best regards

Robin

Hi Robin.
Test flight done without the cowls yes. As for air resistance flying then no different at all. If you meant carburettors behaving then yes they did. As for when the cowls are back on watch this space... Still painting them.

Lancaster soon David.

Video taken yesterday in less than ideal conditions. The engines were both upset by the cowls and had to be re tuned. All ok eventually.

Hello Steve

Congrats for your re-maiden of the Welli. Flies great and looks like all the work has paid of. Hat's off from my side!!
And what you call "less than ideal conditions" would be a "forget it for today" over here...... But it seems you have to live with the weather you have...;-)

Anyway, great video. I am still waiting for some stable weather here in Switzerland. It feels like it is always starting to rain when I have time for flying.....going with sunshine to the office in the morning and seeing the weather turn bad sometime in the early afternoon........and dont even mention the weekends...always rainy...bah.

All the best

Robin
