Dave it is a computer image from a flight sim.

Which flight sim is that Dave? I would like to get hold of it. We need to accumulate as much accurate imaging as possible from whatever source and that is the object of the exercise. I am trawling through youtube and Google images and even airfix who research for accuracy in their models and my impression of this picture is very favourable. Using a very expensive top image editing programme I can look close up at this picture and even see some rivetting detail. So Dave where do you think this flight sim picture got its origins from?
There is not a great deal of information on the anti flash white Vulcan Dave [ Johnson this time] It is all down to usable images, but I will keep looking.

PS. This is in between building my first new model for yonks. A 130" M5 Sparrowhawk. ;)

Tony I wish I knew too, the picture is graphics from a PC or a game console, the wording that says Parking brakes and then says press something( I can’t make it out) to release, points to it being a flight sim. I am guessing you got it off youtube.

No Dave I got it from here. On page five. A very large picture but only one half. When you save it you get the whole thing.

Hi Dave. Finding white vulcan info is a real challenge isn't it. I expect you have been looking and probably not had much luck. Camouflage vulcans by the thousand but very little white.
XH558 was in the nuclear strike force in RAF No. 50 Squadron and its markings are hard to find.
The computer generated picture is pretty good but doesn't show everything. XH558 had The squadron crest on both sides of the fuselage at the front which some other vulcans from different areas did not.
The most difficult job has been trying to find images of The front fuselage roundel, the crest and the fin markings in high enough resolution which would enable you to have these items made in vinyl which is probably the way to go. Well I am three parts there after a long old search. The only item I have not yet located is the cross which sits high on the fin. I have got the rest in extremely high resolution which will enable you to print as large as you want with perfect copy. We are talking about 5 Meg plus files which can be made even bigger without losing anything. Luvely jubbly.
Below are examples which I have had to reduce considerably. I think you will agree they will be up to the job. In fact they actually dont look as good when they are reduced for some strange reason.
Your job now is to get the correct sizes. I would say that the pictures may help you to scale these. Maybe the jet intakes will give you some idea. Once you have worked these out let me know what they are and I will resize the images ready for production by the manufacture put them on a disc and send it too you. I reckon the the crest will be between 6 to 8 inches tall and you can compare them to the roundels when you have worked them out. Dont forget the wing roundels - not sure yet what size they will need to be.
I hope this will be OK for you.
Cheers Tony.

PS. Sorry about fun stuff. I've been very tied up lately now both my thumbs are working again, [Titanium]
PPS don't forget that XH558 letters went underneath both wings too. Imagine that, looking up on a slow pass seeing those letters.
