Got a serious wiring job on the go! lol. Fitting a Powerbox RRS with 2 x JR RD921's with sensor switch and LCD screen in the cockpit. it will be nice and neat when i have finished.

My friend actually runs one of these engines in a large cub and it is not as noisy as i thought. I will run the engine all cowled up and see what I think and amend if necessary.
I fly at many places John, and don't have any noisy planes that offend or have been told otherwise.

Some of these engines have a bad (read - non existant!!) degree of silencing, but I do agree that Johns Cub sounds nice.

LOl, sorry if I appeared grumpy Ken, I did not mean to , but as I said I will run it in the large cowl and if I feel its above limits I will alter the exhausts accordingly. Always can have a heavier exhaust and lose some lead
Finally had all the control surfaces working tonight, now need to hide all the wires

I will take 2 happy pills for tomorrow

Yes hope to start flying in March, got final inspection a week on Saturday, then need permission to test. Hope to finish off big P51 test flights asap, otherwise I will sell it.

Hi Richard,
I am using the DLE 170 in a Prestwick single Pioneer and fitted Sid King syle inserts to reduce the outlet size. I also lined the radial cowl with 6mm felt. The reduced the decibels by a substantial amount.

Finished all radio checks now with wing on and cycled gear for air leaks. Just need Redder's now next weekend for final inspection and then await permission to test you can see the total wingspan from the picture.

Had Mr Redshaw over today to give the Hellcat it's final inspection and it passed.. I now need permission to test certificate from LMA/CAA and I can then start flying it.
Also got back my P47 after its makeover
