Vary pleased with mine, a bit like flying a Cap or Extra really except it wont bite!.

Well done to Willy Warbird for flying his yesterday aswell.
M.L and S.W. are advancing well with theirs. So that should be at least 5 now for next year.

I've always liked the scheme (simple like me!) and I've been after another largeish aerobat for some time to chuck about. Will get it done as quick as I can, with the help of the skilled one of course ..... as always!

What a slot this will be. I think it's mandatory ZG 62's.

Think Mike's right, there's enough on this to warrant it's own thread.
A few of us had been thinking about buiding a Yak 52 but whilst at one of the Tibenham flyins in June Chris, Ken and myself were able to get up close to two of the Aerostars Yak 50's an got the opportunity to get lots of photo's and to talk to the pilots. That was it, with lots of smoke and the grinding of rusty brain cells an idea was thought and talked about all weekend. The aim was to design and build 1/4 scale Yak 50's an then form a display team to replicate as best as possible the routine flown by the Aerostars. Chris at Willis Warbirds set about the design in September and the team has been dubbed the "1/4 Stars". Just recently Kens model flew first followed by Chris machine a couple of weeks later.
For the display there can only be a maximum of 6 at any one time but as we all know in modelling there's always going to be things to challenge it, so it's good that plenty of our close friends are keen to play too.

Maybe some clever person(thats you Mr Parry) could move the relevent threads from the peoples projects onto this thread

Although I'm building one I don't expect to be part of the team. However, I will take it to the shows for the ground display and either dad or I could fly it with you guys if you were short on numbers for any reason.
