Firstly--thanks to all for the kind comments on here--and the many phone calls over the past couple of weeks.Since i started the test flights 3 weeks ago,i have been amazed at the response this model has brought---it has now completed 18 flights, and we have had the odd problem --ie engine failure in flight---retracts slow to retract etc,but eventually we have got the reliability we needed ,so after removing another 2 kilo of lead from the nose[as can be seen in the video,a carefull slow lift off in case we had taken too much lead out],we the completed 4 more flights, before today when Tony Hooper travelled up to Woodford to do the final witnessing and sign off .

Today was also a celebration day at Woodford--it was the 60th anniversary from 558 leaving the factory there, and A.V/ROES nephew returned today to see the real 558 do a Flypast, followed by a display of the model.Tonys Lancaster and the Vulcan can be seen together with the AVRO hangars and old office block in the distance behind.

And the final pic shows the model with the resident full size in background---in conversation with the new owners today,it was agreed that our group of modellers could undertake the task of servicing the siezed brakes and towing the Vulcan accross the airfield to its new position over the airfield near where new heritage buildings will be,we are then tasked with cleaning the years of cr-- of the paintwork and hopefull making smart again---so thats my next winters project taken care of.
