Hi Guys - I have now applied the marking to the Spitfire having used some great paint masks made up by Phil Noel. Once you get used to applying these they are fantastic and make the job straightforward. Next job will be to throw a bucket of dirt at it and hopefully that will stop Barrington from whinging on about it being shiny! Cant wait to get it airborne again...........see you guys at Baldock.

Thats better, though it needs some serious muck applied to pass my next close encounter with it.

Cheers Tony, we reccomend a 3W 80 xi though 62 70 75 and 80cc have been used; the three in the film have 3w motors 75 and 80's respectively.
All up weight is anything between 17 and 19kg if following a proven layout of installation of equipment.

Mike - here is a shot of the three Spits at Baldock, with Ken's in the foreground, yours in the middle and mine at the back (Iknow you know that). Second is mine airbourne at Hastings with the pilot looking for the map he dropped....... promise he will appear next time out!
I am not just saying this because we are friends, but I loved the way the 1:4.8 scale Flying Legends Spit flew (mine is now 14 years old!), however, this 1/4 scale version is just magical in the air. It is everything you might expect a Spitfire to be (if you read the experiences of the pilots of the full size) and it handles like a dream in every respect. Flying it gives you a real buzz, which can be enjoyed to the limit, because it is absolutley viceless......... 11/10 its brilliant!
Thanks
Barras

Will post some pictures soon.
Thanks for a great time and the best flying I've had this year.

Not sure who took this picture at Osbournby at the weekend, but all credit to them, as in four years of flying 'Connie' this is the best picture from dozens of good ones.
Cheers Mike.

Guilty as charged, m'Lord :)

Thanks for the compliment, Mike - considering how bad the condition were on Sunday - grey, rain & generally not suitable for flying, it was a really good day with some excellent flying. CS4 took quite a bashing trying to the pictures to look reasonable.
