102" Hurricane

Postby Gregg Veasey » April 29th, 2010, 10:19 pm

If you've been on RCMF you may have come across the build of this model.

The story is that on our (TJD team) request Tony Nijhuis blew up the plans of his 60 size Hurricane as we fancied a squadron of them at at usual size of 100"ish.

My dad and I were tasked with building the prototype which was started on October 1st 2009 and here is the finished (well almost!) model.

That looks great, it would be nice to see a squadron of then in the air instead of Spitfires or P51’s, it’s not that I don’t like then quite the opposite; it’s just that it would be a pleasant change, keep up the good work. :geek:

That looks great Greg, its nice to see new builds on Hurricanes.
They always seem to get put at the back of the shelf for some reason, even the real one in the second world war always took second place, but the Hurricane shot more down then the Spitfire.
But never got the glory.
Nice one !!!
