stabilizer and elevators complete before covering
found out that using thin ca causes the wood to become brittle,
so i will be using woodglue and A B only for the important joints

Paul--watching with interest--the Dak is one of my favourite aircraft---i do agree with you about the cyno,i decided to resort to the white glue as well for my build--DAVE

Hooked in Paul, I use aliphatic, easy to sand.

Keep it coming, this will be next on my building board once I've finished a 1/5 scale Vampire. Are using the fibre glass nose section thats available, or are you going to carve and sand it from soft block? Also, what engines due you intend to install?

Hi all

Thanks Guys

The last ziroli DC3 i built i used thin CA to assemble it, about a month later it decided to fall apart and it ended up in the bin (a very expensive mistake). I will definatly use lots of wood glue this time, and use thin CA to just to tack wood parts for those awkward holds before reinforcing them with wood glue.

luckily I have kept the fiberglass nose, cowls, robart retracts, from the build that went wrong, so will be using those
I think 2 Zenoah G38s with tri blades are the best choice for reliability in the air. Any help would be apreciated

will post some more pics as build progresses

Paul sorry , the project looks great but is that rudder driver really up to the job on the engineering front.
Surely that soft solder and wire will let go of the rod at some point.
The elevators will have 3mm plus rods and big balljoint connectors.?
