About time I let the world see whats happening in the Norwich area.
I have been wanting to build and fly a large model of this aircraft for many years now. Time and money did not permit earlier in my life.
I first saw a full size Storch being displayed in Germany back in 1983. I was part of the Rhine Army Parachute Team and we had just finished doing a display, ironically, at a Model Aircraft Day. This Storch pilot was absolutely fabulous. He was really putting the aircraft through its paces. He also had the advantage of quite a lot of windspeed. I did not know then, just how low the stall speed of a Storch was. (33/34 knots). What he did with that aircraft was unbelieveable! I thought only the Harrier could fly backwards!!!

I said to myself then; I would just love to try and replicate that style of flying with a model. I got the plans from:
Vince at "US Wing".
Wingspan: 3562mm / 140" Engine: Braveheart BH 85
Length: 2475mm / 97" Weight: 26 kg (approx)

I met Tony Hooper at Cosford last year and let him know my intentions. I got the initial over 20kg paperwork done a
few days later and began to get bits and pieces together just after Cosford.
Ken Bones paid me a visit a few weeks ago and he seemed happy. He gave me a few pointers to keep me in the right direction but all in all things are ticking over nicely. I have just a few pics, there will be more further into the project.
