With all the ace looking models on here I was a bit worried about posting, but anyway here is my Heinkel He111, originally built by Karl Mander, never flown but then abused in storage for a long time. I am busy getting it up to flying trim, but have sent a build write up to Dave Parry for the journal, hope you like it!

Dave
You are to kind ! It's been a difficult project to keep going, but if you had not come up with the undercarriage it would still probably be sitting in the workshop awaiting attention! I was hoping to bring her to Muc Marcle which, is my favorite venue, but I have just been informed I will be doing a seven week tour of Africa so everything is coming to a grinding halt, I fly back to UK on Friday ( am in Pretori) hope to have the D7 and Sopwith Triplane through the over 20kg flights over Easter and ready for East Kirby.

Hi Dave
She has the same power as yours, 62 Zenoah with Mick Reeves drive, she came out at 22kg so I am doing my flight tests at the moment, she flies really nice. Watched your video, is that Herman Goring's colours? Did I read somewhere you do a kit for a 1/3 Se5 ??

Hi David,
Yes your right Herman Goring's colour scheme I had a 10 mtr roll of solartex kicking about so I used it on that, you did see my SE5 I am building 3 at the moment for customers,i was planning on doing a semi kit formers, ribs and a plan but i have been so so busy just not had the time,i also did a Fokker triplane, all the threads are on here. When I get chance I intend building a Sopwith Camel which is another favourite of mine, the criteria as with all the others is an easy to build, easy to rig and easy to fly model.

Hi Dave I need to redraw all 3 of the plans incorporating some changes,i am part way through drawing a set of 1/3 Camel plans but other commitments are keeping me away from the drawing board. The SE5,DR1 and Camel may be offered as a semi kit as the ribs from each model are the same, whereas the DV11 they are all different so that would be just a plan.

Cheers,Dave.

This is my lastest project, raised from the Don Smith plan 118" with two x zenoah 26 engines. Not a first larrge model for me but the first large twin with retracts and all the other whistles and bells. It first flew in a bare finish a year ago - it has been a surprise to me how much time and effort is needed to get everything working as it should and in harmony with all the other on board systems
