I would of thought bike clips where issued.....

They are SBD_5 assigned to the Atlantic Fleet of Feb 1944 which carried out ASW, anti-submarine warfare. They where mainly based on carriers but also operated from local islands. Obviously the standard atlantic colour scheme, dark gull grey over insignia white, was originally taken from the mere seagull.....interesting...... I have all the ancillary equipment to add to the model to reflect this, hook arrestor, outer drop- able bombs and also a working center bomb and trapeze. The pilots uniforms i have put together are also in keeping with this aircraft and not the standard blue uniform for the rear gunner.....wonder if they went brown...

Cheers OZy...flies superb, nice and steady.....known locally as the dozy dauntless. Droppable outer bombs are now functional, releasing at about 25 degree of dive-brake application...the centre trapeze is on a return spring and Bowden cable, that's up next....

Frank. :D
