With the poor weather forecast for Saturday of the holiday weekend---I thought I would have a change from driving around the country to flying events---I decided to dig out one of my early projects---its been in one of my garages since I last used it 14 years ago----this has been in our family from new and in my ownership for many years,so I thought its about time it saw some sunshine again

Is that a Hillman California? I have seen a couple here in Vancouver back in the 60's.
Cheers,
Dave.

Ken/Dave---yes its a 1955 Hillman Californian----they were only made for a few years and most went to the USA,back in the eighties I used to travel around the classic car shows with it ,and in the Hillman club records those days there were only a few dozen left in the uk.
Stuart, yes it will be a real adventure down the M6 ,although one of its last trips out in the 90s was an epic day out to Blenheim Palace near Oxford to a Hillman car show, and it made it no probs.Gaydon is only down the road from where the factory was it came from 58 years ago !!!!

Fantastic, we had an old Rover 2000 1960 in the family a few years ago. Red leather tuck and roll bench seats.
No one would drive it except me because you had to plan the braking!!!!
