Postby dave tilbury » March 10th, 2018, 5:20 pm

had this 1/5 scale Fw 190 for sometime.....brought second hand.....i didn't like the colour scheme applied so been on and off for the past 5 years...lol.......but now need to finish it before starting a new project.....had to remove the old paint work first....good old nitromors......removes most things....over the past few weeks been applying the new scheme 'black 8'.....need to complete the interior which is all done and fuel proof ready for the spring

Its looks mighty fine Respect!
Very brave to apply NitroMoors to the composite surface, never tried it on GRP but I know that its aggressive stuff.
I look forward to seeing the next photos.

the nitromors didn't seem to damage the surface.....tested it first but then went mad with it....certainly got rid of the paint!
now comes the installation of the interior.....made most of the parts...used lithoplate mostly....need to add some more....support for the armour plate for one.....pilot can't wait to climb in...
