All day testerday and this morning trying to sort the wheel fairing and belly area, had sleepless nights trying to get this right, finally found the right underside pics that i needed to see the right angles, the one in the foreground is now right whereas the other shows not quite right, a challenge but i had to get it right, the other 1/4 scale FW190s i have seen have had a flat bottom wings with no positive attack on the wing therefore not having this problem.

Here you can see that the wheels rake forward nicely, this is because getting the scale wing shape and the 3 degrees positive sets the legs forward, ones i have seen on youtube appear to be straight down.

Didn't get much done at the weekend, was sorting the Tiffy saturday and went to Baldock on Sunday, but i have squeezed some spare time where i can.
Ailerons are both built and hinged, this is the bottom of one with the first skin going on, only 3 left to do, also fitted the wing spar in, this weekend coming i hope to get the flaps made up and finish the ailerons on saturday, as out to Old Warden Sunday, then Flying the Tiffy in the afternoon :D

Not much happening as the flying season is here, but hope to get bits done over the next few weeks, Found the solartex and covered the ailerons so that's another job out of the way. You can see the structure through the tex, glad i did it looks nice.

Lined the wells and boxed in around the retract one side, 1 more day on the wing and it will be ready to glass, trouble is now time for a few weeks, next week Kirkby, and following week Rougham, so no building time for a while

I made a start on mine this weekend. I got the fuz framed up(after I hunted allover for the fuse formers). It should go together pretty quick, but as the Willis says, Show Time!

Lame excuses you two, you could take them with you and build them in your awnings in the evenings.

The middle one seems to have got a much shorter undercarriage than the Baldock-Marrow version.
Mind you our Ken always was full scale.

I think the middle one has borrowed his under carriage from the jack russell

There is a very large LiPo fire in the making at the top of the page.
Never in the field of aero modelling has so much balsa been wasted by so few.
