i have done a bit over the winter and got a bit further along with it.

The whole back end with tails and finlets are now glassed ready for priming.

The centre section is now being sheeted and radio/tank mounts are in.

Front end is waiting for me to make a cockpit with full body pilots. Changed my mind on how I was going to do it.

Currently making a jig for setting the wing washout.

here are a few pics of how its going.

Mike.

Hi mate

Cheers

I'm getting fed up of sheeting now haha.

Just been sorting out my retracts with speed controllers. They are looking pretty good now. A lot better than they were.

Hi Stuart

Thanks. The build is going ok at the moment. Still trying to get the centre section sheeted at the mo.

Next hopefully will be the wings but I have nearly run out of glue so I need to restock

Back end is just waiting to be sprayed with the tails and the front end us awaiting the fitment of the refuel probe mounting.

Cheers

AND, when i get a minute i will get the probe done!! interesting story here, i put Mike onto Tricast, a carbon company we deal with, they donated some carbon tube, they asked how thick wall Mike wanted it, about 6mm, he says, sod that, they said, we made the full size refueling probes, and they where not that thick!!!! Tricast also donated the large airtank, originally a mini sub ballast tank, for Phil Clarkes Marauder project,

Well since my last post the nimrod came to a sudden stop, like the fullsize program.

This was due to having a baby daughter so as you can imagine I have no time.

Well New year new start so im cracking on with it now.

Had to do some mods to the tail as I wasnt happy with the amount of tube in the fuse.

Front end now has the refuel prob fully fitted and sheet so just need to do the cockpit detail, glazing and glass it.

Centre section is about half complete now. The outer wing panels need to lose a tad of weight and need sheeting.

Getting there slowly

Yep haha. After about a year of being indecisive I have done the tail mod and cut the root end off. Gluing it to the fuse so the tail tubes have more purchase in the fuse. Now they are done, I have loosened the elevators and rudder so they are free moving (initial tolerance was to tight). I'm now aligning the finlets with the fin and sorting the servo trays for the elevators and rudder. Once that has been done and wires are in, the complete back end can go.for first primer.

Back end is now done, just needs priming and radio installation.

Front end is now glassed and I am now fairing in the IFRP, making the RAT bubble and working out what glazing to use on the cockpit, and cut the nose leg doors out.

Once done, I can prime the front fuse, and install all the air systems, nose leg and lighting.

Next I will be attacking the wings and centre section.
