I know a few of you enjoy making unusual types, but came across this on the Aviastar site. http://www.aviastar.org/index2.html

Probably needed the extra wing midships 'cos it looks a shade tail heavy !!!!

That propeller was solid brass.

Come on Dawn Patrol, how about one of these.
The Linke-Hoffmann R.I was half covered with transparent Cellon in an attempt at partial invisibility. It achieved the opposite effect, partly because the Cellon discoloured rapidly, but mainly because it reflected the sun so strongly.

Both R.I prototypes used four 260hp Mercedes D.IVa engines, carried inside the fuselage, powering two chain-driven propellers.

Interesting machines indeedy, but I fear you'll have to be the one building it, and when you have give us DP'ers a shout and we'll come help you sweep up :D :D
