You'll loose detail in the moulding if you use wet & dry.........better approach with any detailed composite component is a fine Scotch Brite type pad (mine are ultra fine from MIRKA). Use these pads to loose the gloss from the surface & key it ready for etch primer All these do is key the surface rather than cutting into a rubbing away any detail. After this, I use a 1K etch primer from Lesanol.......it's lime green in colour & has very poor coverage, but 1 light coat is all is required. I've never had any paint adhesion issues using these products over the past 10yrs or so.......
