Postby BRIAN RAWCLIFFE » January 19th, 2014, 11:31 am

Has anyone used solarfilm prymol etch primer on clear canopies as a preparation for painting the frame. If so was it successfull, and if anyone knows of a better product feel free to reply.Brian..

Same here Brian but it dries grey so need to paint inside first if you can see the inside of frame from the outside.

Cheers

If I'm painting a moulded in frame, I apply Prymol 1st followed by a coat of interior green (which shows through the Prymol as it's clear, hence the frame looks green on the inside), then the final exterior colour.

You can just about see the green on the inside of this Corsair canopy.
