It is with great sadness that I have to announce that Ian passed away this evening. He has been a member and key supporter of The Midlands Large Model Flying Group and will be sadly missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Gail and family.

I did hear that Ian was unwell, but this is a shock to us all. Ian was one of the good guys, a key member of the Catton mob. He always had a kind word and had a welcoming manner. It wont be the same team without Ian - My thoughts are with both his family, and his extended family at the Catton Group . . .

Very sad news, didn't know him that well myself, but I know he was always in the thick of it when anything was going on at Catton. He always had a warm welcome every time me and Dave Johnson decided to visited Catton for a day and also when we stayed over for the flyin's what another sad loss.
