Servo advice for Reed falcon

Postby richard armstrong » January 17th, 2015, 4:34 pm

Hi all

looking for advice on what servos to purchase

what kg servo would you use on the reed falcon for ailerons, rudder, and elevator?

i am thinking 7-10kg wing servos for elevator and 5 - 10kg for ailerons x 4

see post

I always over servo as you can never have enough power. For something that size it would be min 15 kg's but that just my thoughts on my 50cc I have 25 kilo ones on Ail and elev (one on each) and then 35 kilo on the rudder.

Hi Richard,
I was able to get a program from Alastair Sutherland, he use to write in model world. It calculates the servo torque, required for any given details. I found the results surprising .I can e mail it to you ,if you think it may help .
