Well said Chris, people with noisey generators belong at the other end of the airfield in the swamp. Hate the dam things.

Totally agree Chris, we've had evenings when you just want to sit back and relax ruined by generators running for hours without the slightest regard for anyone else.

Cool Chris. I'll join you with my precision bass and Markbass 500 watt combo. Any drummers?

Seriously, there is simply no need for generators. For a weekend, a good battery will last the whole time (I take two, never needed the spare) for tv, lights etc. And for charging!

I haven't used a generator for ages with my c'van. I depend on a solar panel which tops up the battery during the day (providing the sun is shining) when the battery is not used much. It will certainly suffice for a long weekend even when using the tv.

Chris, I too have a Les Paul and a Marshall stack. I will join you for some Lizzy twin guitar stuff plus play a few Hendrix, Zeppelin, Deep Purple & Van Halen toons!

No, we saw it. But please explain why, with all you have done, would you need a genny to charge flight batteries? IF you fly, your batteries would easily charge from a 12 volt in minutes, and emergencies? Over a weekend? You have a new battery plus one in the car. Why would you need a genny? Do you have something which requires 240 volts? Are we missing something?

Could we all play nicely please, as I don't want to wear my mouse finger out deleting posts.

If anybody's got any problems with noisy generators this year, let the owner know (preferabley politely) at the time, and ask them to put it inside their caravan or somwhere where it will cause less of a nuisance. (Don't forget to open a window for the exhaust).

Gents generators are allowed until 10:30pm whether you like them or not so please try and come to some arrangement with whoever has one running, there could be a solution just by moving it away from you. It won't be totally silent but could be better than nothing. it is called tolerance I believe, if they run them after that time you are quite within your right to tell them to turn it off.

As Rob has already sad please play nice, or it will be detention for you all.
