G4 and Elapor foam.

Hi all. I am in the process of building a foamy made from Elapor and I would like a decent paint job finish.
As Elapor is fussy about what it adheres to so I have read, I need to prepare a decent surface that will accept paint without any problems. I am considering G4 and would like to know if is this the way to go.
As it is a a reasonably large foamy it will be able to carry a little extra weight with it being a problem.
Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I know most epoxy dosn't work on Elapor, but Multiplex do a range of paints specifically for it.

Hi Steve, If I paint straight onto the foam even if I flatten it a bit I am not going to get a good smooth finish. I have to prepare it with something . that is why I wondered if G4 might do the job. That isn't an epoxy is it.

Do a test first as G4 melts normal types of foam and may do the same to Elapor

Take a look at the finish that these guys achieve on Depron, Not an area I know anything about but with their ideas thransfer to your situation?

Thanks to you all for your suggestions. This forum is better than google if you need some good advice from knowledgeable lads.
As I need a really good surface prepared before I use any primer or paint I think I'll give the

That "Foam Armour" doesn't set hard it remains "rubber" like and didn't seem to adhere too well to the Elapor
