It would seem that it wasn't its last flight. Just seen it on the news doing a beautiful barrel roll.
Apparently they are investigating this so called illegal maneuvere. What's to investigate.
'nothing wrong with going out in a blaze of glory.

Well Dave???

Lots of comments on other forums suggesting that its a bit of creative video editing, with jumps in the frames and no control surface deflections.
There is some undisputed archive footage showing the Vulcan rolling and doing a reversal back in the 50's, cant find the link to it. It was painted white at the time, so it would be quite scale-like flying for Dave to do these manoeuvres wouldn't it. :D

Look again Dave. This not some video editing trick but the real thing.
The wing markings prove conclusively That this was XH558.

Bit upset regarding the video of the Southern section of the 'Final Flight'. The section over Manston and Deal seems to be missing, it goes from Reculver directly to Dover. I was at Manston and I saw it, unless it was Dave's re-liveried!

Hi Tony, I don't think anyone's denying they are images of XH558; however as Eric Morecambe once said they are "not necessarily in the right order" :D

With all the video and pictures I've got of 558, I could probably stitch together a full airobatic sequence! If that vids genuine then he aught to return the camera as "not fit for purpose".

Got the media attention though!

Yes, got to admit that a second look it does seem dodgy, but these I think may be the real thing.

The alleged indecent is meant to have occurred on the 4th of October, 90% of Vulcan fans say it is fake and numerous funny photos have been Photoshopped regarding it.

There are many clips of Vulcans rolling at airshows including Farnborough and others but I have seen a vintage clip of the plane completing a proper loop during test flights but I can't find it again! The nearest I have found at the moment is youtube VULCAN SBAC where a Vulcan completes a half loop and roll off the top.

Hi, re Vulcan.
I'm still hoping to hear from Vulcan crew that remember returning from Acention Island after the Port Stanley raid.
Specifically the crew of two Vulcan's that crossed the Cornish coast at approximately 5000ft, one flying a straight course whilst the other continously formated with the lead aircraft and then broke away in wide curves and then held close formation again.
I've mentioned this on here before and some wise soul suggested I wasn't there, or dreaming.

My ex wife and I stood on the cliffs in perfect weather West of Mousehole, and were captivated by the scene, having by chance seen them emerge over the southern horizon out at sea.
A day or two later we heard on the news of the bombing of Stanley airfield.
